JAMIE
All alone...I'm so all alone... sounds like a ballad I used to sing. My human passed on to a better world (I hope) and no one knew what to do with me, so they simply opened the door and left me outside to fend for myself and my kittens. I guess that's what I get for letting that cad of a tom cat have his way with me.

Anyhow, I'm in foster care now and looking for my forever home. I'm a beautiful, glossy, 2-year-old, black female that is loveable to a fault. I'm sweet, affectionate, and playful, too. I'm fairly laid back and low-key. I like being around other cats as long as they're not overly dominant (it doesn't go with my laid-back style). (LS)

J-LO: EDB 10/05, white with tabby spots, short hair, Manx, special needs
J-Lo has spondylosis, which in her case means she has a disk failure in her lower spine. She goes for acupuncture treatments regularly and those treatments are complemented with Chinese herbs. She will need ongoing medical attention in order to keep her off of steroids, and out of pain, but she's worth it. She is a cute, funny girl and will bring a lot of laughter and love to your home.
JULIUS II
I am Siamese—if you please—and I do love to please and give you attention. Sitting in your lap and hugging plays a large role in being your companion cat. I might be a bit too forceful for young children, but I will be a great cat for adults. Even though I am FIV positive, and should be an only cat, I am a big, sweet, energetic guy who will look into you face with my big blue eyes and purr and love you.

KALIA: EDB 10/02, tortoiseshell, short hair

Kalia is a pretty, funny, little cat. She is a fairly typical Tortie, one minute she is your best friend and asks you to pet and love her, and then the other side shows up. She can be hissy and difficult also. But, life would never be dull with her; she's an interesting girl. And, as she gets older, she is more mellow and more lovable, and we see less of her dark side. If you like a challenge, Kalia may be the cat for you. Click Here to see a short You-Tube video of Kalia at leisure. (AC)

KARENA: EDB 10/06, grey, long hair
Karena is the sweetest girl ever. She is quite a talker, and very affectionate. She was found by a former Happy Tails volunteer who discovered her neighbors had moved and left her behind. She was crying because she was lonesome and starving. She has put on some weight and has every volunteer at the Adoption Center wrapped around her paw. Part of her fur is light brown, but we think that is due to the fact that she was malnourished for a while. It looks like the grey fur is coming back underneath. She has the cutest little rear end with curly fur. You won't be able to keep from falling in love with her.

Image of Katie
KATIE: EDB 5/96, black and white, long hair
Katie was raised in a family with an older man and six other cats. When her owner died she was accepted into Happy Tails, at the age of 11 with her 10-year old daughter. Katie is a real sweetheart, very affectionate and loves attention. As she is getting older, she is occasionally a little cranky, but for the most part she just wants love. She will occasionally surprise you with a quick jump to sit on your shoulder when you are least expecting it. We'd like to see Katie get her own home and not have to share her people with other cats. She's had to share her whole life, and now she's ready to settle down and be the center of your universe. So, if you are ready to revolve around a beautiful little kitty, Katie is your girl.
Image of Kira Grey
KIRA GREY: EDB 11/05, grey tabby, short hair

Kira Grey was adopted from Happy Tails as a kitten and recently returned because she had gotten sick and her family didn't want to deal with her illness. She appears to be quite healthy now and is one of the friendliest kitties at our Adoption Center. She likes a lot of attention and makes it clear that she is the one you should be paying attention to. If you want a cat that will interact with you all the time—she's your girl. Come in to meet her and see how friendly she is.

KIRA: EDB 8/06, brown tabby/Abyssinian, short hair
Kira was brought into the Center with 6 tiny kittens. One of our kind volunteers took her and the kittens into her home to foster until Kira could raise the kittens and get them weaned. The volunteer discovered immediately that this little teenager was a fierce, protective mother. The foster mom was allowed to pet and play with the babies, but not with Kira who kept a watchful eye on her at all times. Once Kira came to the Adoption Center, it took her a while to loose that fierce attitude she has developed to protect herself and her babies. She is just now starting to relax and be affectionate, but she occasionally forgets herself and reverts back to her old attitude. She needs patience and love and to learn to trust you, then she can finally relax in her own home and remember how to play. She was a mom at such a young age that she really didn't get a chance. Why not take a chance with Kira and be the one to show her how much fun she can have?

KITTY: EDB 2/01, black, medium hair, declawed, part-Manx
Kitty was found outside originally as an abandoned stray. She is playful, confident, friendly, and vocal and loves to sit on your lap and be rubbed all over. She prefers to be the only animal. She is extremely loving and likes to be played with. She loves string toys. She is litter boxed trained and very clean. Her fur is easy to maintain. She loves her treats and her window seat. She would do best with someone that is home a lot, with no young children or elderly people. Kitty is currently fostered in a home with other animals, and this doesn't allow her to have the roam of the house. It would be nice for her to be in a home with no other animals so that she had the freedom of the entire house. She is a delight to have around and is a great companion. She loves to sleep on the bed and even under the covers with you when it's cold. She has a great personality.
