Happy Tails Celebrates 15 Years as Sacramento's No-Kill Organization!

2008 marks a milestone for Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary! It's our 15-year anniversary as Sacramento's premier “no-kill” animal rescue group.

Established as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization on Oct. 12, 1993, Happy Tails has rescued more than 10,000 cats and many dogs, bunnies and other animals over the past 15 years.

Our Adopt-A-Pet Center opened its doors in 2000 at 721 56th Street, and we became an “adoption partner” with the PetSmart at Watt Ave. and Arden Way approximately 10 years ago.

Since the beginning, Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary has been an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff, and continues to be operated and supported by a group of committed, hard-working volunteers throughout the Sacramento area.

Stay tuned for more information on a special upcoming 15th anniversary celebration this fall!

Thank you for your continued support!
